New Rugby League Brisbane community partnership

Young Guns has partnered with Rugby League Brisbane to connect players with flexible warehouse and distribution work while strengthening community recruitment pathways in Queensland.

Young Guns has announced a new community recruitment partnership with Rugby League Brisbane, backing a talent pipeline that’s already proven itself elsewhere. It’s the same model behind the partnership with the Penrith Panthers in New South Wales, which has brought 40 people into the Young Guns team over the past 12 months.

Why community networks work

Many of Young Guns’ strongest team members haven’t come through traditional job boards. They’ve come through trusted community networks, referrals and recommendations from people who already understand the value of commitment, teamwork and showing up for others.

Rugby league clubs are built on those same qualities. Players are accustomed to working as part of a team, supporting their mates and putting in the effort required to achieve a common goal. That makes Rugby League Brisbane a natural fit for Young Guns’ people-first approach to recruitment.

Creating opportunities on and off the field

For players, the partnership provides access to flexible, physical work that can fit around training schedules, game days and other commitments.

For clubs, it creates additional support that flows back into grassroots rugby league and strengthens local sporting communities.

For Young Guns, it provides access to motivated, team-oriented people who already bring many of the attributes needed to succeed in logistics and supply chain environments. It’s another example of how community partnerships can create meaningful outcomes for individuals, clubs and employers alike.
