When we talk about contribution to the business, the phrase that comes up again and again is “bricks in the wall.” We recently gave that idea a physical home to celebrate the many Young Guns careers since we started the business. With over 250 team members reaching 5 or 10-plus years with the business, Young Guns has put their names on the boardroom wall.
From container unloaders to company leaders
Some of the standout stories on that wall started in exactly the same place: on the floor, unloading containers. A few examples show just how far that starting point can lead.
Jace Van Dijk began as a container unloader and is now Young Guns’ Chief Operating Officer. Chris Sultana followed a similar path and is now a State Trainer in New South Wales. Peter Frost also started unloading containers and has since moved on to become 3PL and Depot Manager at Bega Group.

Genuine career pathways
These aren’t isolated exceptions. They’re representative of a business that treats entry-level roles as a genuine starting point rather than a ceiling, whether someone’s career path stays inside Young Guns or takes them somewhere else entirely. Investing in our people and their future wellbeing is part of our operating culture.
There’s still space on the wall. If you know someone who enjoys hands-on work, a team that feels like family and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop check out our latest roles.
